Into the void of a future unknown I stare

And I pray for you, Jacob

I pray for health and happiness, of course

Mostly, though, I pray for a life of meaning

And when I see how you make people smile

When I see how many people give of themselves

When I hear a soft compliment

When I feel someone's heart melt as they look into your big blue eyes

I realize, Jacob, just how meaningful a life you already have

You bring out the most beautiful part of humanity in others
